sick fish =\

my girlfriends fish seems really sick ..its swimming upsidedown and can barely hold itself up ..its gills are really red and its tummy is black also..

thats all i know for now ..shes had it for 3 months now and doesnt know what kind of fish it is because it wasnt labled when she got it and she also doesnt have any water testers

this the fish when it was healthy ..maybe u guys can identify it

Rainbow...maybe an Australian Rainbow.

Sounds like you either have high nitrates or a lack of oxygen. What kind of maintenance is done? What kind of tank/equipment? What temperature?

Go to petsmart they will test your water for free!!!

Is the fish in a tank with a filter?
She should get test kits or go to the petstore once a week to have it tested. Those glass rocks in the picture arent a very good substrate to use.
