I had a 55 gal with some Ricefish and a turtle and everything was doing great; no violence, good health, until I added some Goldfish. Pretty soon the fish started being lethargic, had cloudy eyes, and all the Ricefish had died. I gave the Goldfish a salt bath, and they are fine.
What I would like to know is what disease affected them. Thank you.

Please take a read through the "unhealthy fish" sticky and give as much detail as you are able.

Without anything to go on all anyone can do is speculate. Water quality perhaps? How many, how big where these goldfish? More bioload = more waste, especially when you are talking about goldfish. Your cycle needed time to catch up, and you had ammonia in the tank?

Maybe the goldfish brought in an infection?

Nitrite, Nitrate, and Ammonia levels good.
6 2in goldfish in a cycled tank.
