Sick gourami?

I would appreciate it if anyone could help me identify why my gourami looks like this. Some background, 4 weeks ago it launched itself out my 150g tank, onto the hardwood floor. I immediately put him back in the tank. For a few days the side that had absorbed the impact with the floor was very dark in color. 3 or 4 days ago, his belly got huge. Ph 7.2

It looks like your snail photo bombed that picture. haha. Is the poop white and stringy or brown?

Also I don't think it has anything to do with this fish but your nitrates seem a little high

Continuing the photo bomb theme...
My nitrates are high I assume because I just swapped out a filter and the new one hasn't been up long enough to do its part. I'm guessing.. Hope this pic is better. And poop looks brown.

It might just be overeating. Gouramis are notorious for that. Don't feed for a day and see if the fish slims down
