Aquarium Advice Apprentice
hi. my friend decided he did not have the time for his small aquarium any more so i inherited his only parrot fish as i did not want to see it go to a bad owner or left to die. my friends aquarium was small and filthy so i thought the little guy would thrive in my well maintained 300 litre community aquarium with excellent filtration but it seems quite the opposite. after only a day of being introduced he is laying on the bottom with clamped fins. all my other fish are completely fine. the tank has been up and running for a few years. can a fish get shock from moving to a new setup? or maybe the p.h was different? it seems crazy that he was better off in my friends filthy aquarium?
