Some Kind of Mouth Desise?

I have a 6"+ long Jack Demp. His mouth is all white and swollen looking, He cant eat and its looking a bit bloody along the base this morning so its becoming a concern. Any ideas of what it might be or a link to a web site that I can look at pictures to determine what it is

It is not wool mouth I do know that. theres nothing fuzzy its like swollen tissue

Could he have gotten into a fight with someone? Maybe tried to eat something he shouldn't have? If you can post a pic members can advise better.
