Strange platy behaviour

Hi, my friend has 3 female jumbo platies. One of the platies keeps sitting on the bottom of the tank and the other platies sit on top of her. Any ideas?

That's weird. I don't know why other platies sit on top of her. The chat will have some answers likely.

It is far easier to answer questions in threads than in chat. Also, you will have more people see it in a thread, and other parties can see it who be having similar issues. You put your question in the right place.
We need to know a bit more about the tank and its inhabitants to give you better answers. At a glance, this is all I can give you: fish will lay on the gravel when stressed or diseased. Sometimes, female livebearers will lay on the ground before dropping fry, but since other fish are laying down on her, I am guessing that the issue is in the fish's health.
What size tank? What tankmates? Any other symptoms like clamped fins, red gills, rapid breathing? HOw long has the tank been set up? Any idea about water parameters?
