To feed or not to feed

So I recently came to the conclusion that my cichlids have internal parasites and started them on general cure. My question is should I fast them over the course of the treatment or should I feed less often or feed regularly. The reason I'm asking because I heard that it was better not to feed them when treating for parasites.

You should fast them an cut ur feedings down after
