this is bubba one of my 2 sailfins a male n female. i noticed today his side fin had a few torn pieces on it.. do you think the mate did it or maybe the chasing into the caves?
torn side fin ....nipping or fin rot?

What are the water parameters, Ammonia, NitrIte and NitrAte, pH, any others?
Probably rounded a bad corner if it is just one fin looking torn, in all the fish. Or it could be stressed from chasing or another fish trying to stay in it's hiding place or?

the tank is well regulated for plecos i think its his female mate n he got caught imma keep a eye on it ty
