My Gourami has a big hole/spot in/on it. I am really worried I care home today to find this horrible sight. My mom told me that the Gourami seemed a bit bulged earlier today. She guesses it might have ďpoppedĒ. Another potential is that there is a Angelfish in the tank that could have bitten it. The Gourami is relatively new to the tank and seemed a bit shy. Please help!

How deep is the hole? And was the bulge just under the scales or deeper?

FURUNCULOSIS would be one name for issue.
Aeromonas salmonicida is another.
It is a gram negative issue needing antibiotics.
It is considered highly contagious so keep an eye on other fish and get to changing water and treating with proper med following directions ASAP.
Most links say fish pass quickly once they show symptoms.
Make sure to remove any dead fish as quickly as possible as fish picking on other dead fish [very common] is the most common form of transmission. This disease is in the water column also so any other fish may become effected..
Good luck.
