I've had a female guppy for about 3 weeks who was bought pregnant. Today I have noticed a very long silvery / white string coming from her bottom, looks nothing like poo. From what I've read it could be early labour or a parasite!
She is quite lethargic and hanging around by her self at the bottom in a corner, although she doesn't seem to be distressed.
I have been medicating with melafix and salt for a week as I lost a guppy to fin rot last week (bought that way, novice mistake) and have been doing a pwc of 20-50% daily or alternate days. Water parameters are ok.
Any advice really appreciated as I'm having a panic!
