If a sick fish "sparkles" (literally looks like sprinkled with glitter, is it velvet?

Is it a gold coloured glitter?

When I turn off light and shine flashlight, there are spots that sparkle gold. Others that look silver. Is this just slime coat? I'm desperately trying to diagnose my sick angelfish. Swimming sideways (both sides, not swim bladder), darting, shimmying, very faint pink streak on dorsal fin, eyes turning red, looks red where his tiny side fins meet his body. Tail fin clamped 50% of time, top part of him twists and clamps a lot, Hangs near the top. He still eats like a pig, and has moments where he comes down and acts fine. I keep thinking septicemia, but I keep noticing the sparkles....

Oh, and he has either a bruise under left gill, or an indent, that appears grey. A lot of my fish seem to get silver shiny spots on their gills. Everyone keeps saying its normal. This grey spot is not sparkly
