Velvet disease on mollies

Confirmed velvet disease in my balloon molly tank. Brought it in from LFS on my male. Didn’t notice till it was too late and now I’ve lost the male and my Dalmatian molly. The queen of my tank looks like she’s infected too... I’ve got light off, heat up, medication in, and depression soaking.

Velvet / Oodinium, is far worse than Ick. Sorry you are having to deal with it. I've dealt with Velvet only twice over the years. Always introduced from a new fish. IMO, the best med for Oodinium is a copper based product, like Coppersafe. Good luck, hope things level out soon.

I’m trying not to use copper based products since I have shrimp in the tank too. I’m worried if I try and pull the shrimp out they’ll contaminate my other aquarium...
I just started keeping fish 2 months ago and it definitely feels like I’m getting the worst luck.

Copper will kill shrimp. Hold on, things will get better.
