Hi! I was wondering if you could help me identify whatthis white bump.on my betta may be. I've had him for five months now, he's alone in a 20L acuarium with live plants. I started an anti-fungal treatment thinking it might be Ich, but it doesn't seem like it anymore. He also has some mild tearing on his fins. Before starting the treatment nitrite levels were just above 0.3. Here are some photos. Thanks!!

How’s your fish doing? I’ve been adding aquarium salt to my aquarium every water change. There are a lot of benefits of adding salt.

It may be Lymphocystis starting.

It isn't necessarily a problem unless a growth gets so big it impares bodily function which is not common.

Ideally keep the water parameters perfect. It helps with the fish to stay as strong as possible.

If it was an injury on something sharp in the tank, it gets fuzzy, oozie, or otherwise not healing looking then it might need to get treated.
