Hi all,

I currently have a neon netra in a QT tank as it has a small white lump on it's head.

Now I'm currently treating with Pimafix under the assumption it's fungal as well as the usua; 50% water changes.

Now this has been going on around 4-5 days now and I've seen no progress on the lump.

Now the fish seems unconcerned at this stage.

How long should I continue Pimafix treatment and how long should I keep the fish in QT? I know there's no hard and fast rules for this kind of stuff but any suggestions are appreciated :)

Cheers in advance (y)

Is it fuzzy or cottony looking? If it is, it may be bacterial infection rather than a fungus & should be treated accordingly. Or is it a lump under the skin that protrudes outward? This may be a parasite. Do not move anybody out of qt until the issue has been id'd & properly treated. Pics will help! :)

Thanks jlk (Should just make that my signature -.-)

Will get pictures tonight...it seems to be simply a solid lump on the side of the fish...I don't think it's under the skin.
