white patch near gills on orange goldfish.

My goldfish Rambo that i've had for a few months has been a solid orange color but i noticed today that there is a white patch near his gills on both sides
of his body. i'm worried it might be a disease or maybe he's just
changing color...

WELCOME TO AA!

Looks like disease to me, a fungal or bacterial infection. Does the whiteness appear to be covering the Goldfishes' scales? Got any other pics?

i just fed my fish and he seems to be eating fine and i don't think the white patch has grown any. could it be stress from the black moore i got a few weeks ago?

and the whiteness doesn't seem to be coving all of his scales.
