My friends 60 liter tank has got white spot on 3 of his fish I got the stuff to put in the water but is there any other way to make them better 2 have died

Which treatment was used? Treatments only kill ghe free swimming stages of the parasite. So when the cysts burst thats when the treatment works. That is why the treatment is dosed on seperate days, the free swimmers cant survive long without a fish host. You will see more spots appearing before it goes as the parasite attaches to the fish and takes some time to form the cyst (white spot)
Raising the temerature slightly and gradually can speed up the process but do this with caution, some fish can't tolerate higher temps and you will need extra airation to up oxygen levels.
