Hi there, I have a discus with the hole in the head disease about 2 weeks ago.

(What species is it BTW? Blue discus?)

The hole was rather big so I bought Intecide-A immediately from the fish-seller.

Instructions: Add 1spoonful (1g) to 20litres of water.

Since the dimensions of my tank are approximately: 120cm x 36.5cm x 43cm =~188cm³~188l

I added 9 spoonfuls of Intecide A into the tank. However, the next day, the tank turned entirely cloudy and all the fishes were desperately gasping for air. Suspecting a massive bacterial bloom, I did a water change and the water quality improved (cleared) significantly over days.

Then, i added another 9 spoonfuls after 2 days, and the cloudy water returned + fish gasping for air, etc again. :(

Thereafter, I was apprehensive of using the medication again for fear the cloudy water. The discus hole seemed to be getting better for about a week, but it is not getting smaller for the last week (in fact it has been increasing in its size again). I tried 3 days ago, adding 5 spoonfuls of Intecide-A again but the cloudiness + repercussions returned.

After stalemating for a few days, the water was exceptionally clear, so I added 6 spoonfuls of Intecide-A into the tank yesterday afternoon. The water didnt turn cloudy before I slept at 12am. However, the next morning, when I woke up, the water was cloudy, BUT my discus lying motionlessly on the gravel.:(:( (along with 3-4 neon tetras and another fish which I really loved very much)

What could I have done then, to ensure that the discus gets treated, whilst not compromising on the oxygen content? Can't help but to feel very self-reproachful as I caused their demise. :( I really loved my discus very much, as I was charmed by its personality and idiosyncrasies. And now this happened. I'm shattered. :zip:

The medication probably killed your good bacteria causing the bloom. It's usually recommended to remove the infected/afflicted fish to a hospital tank to treat with meds.

I find that with discus especially the first thing to try with treatment is daily water changes. Good water conditions will usually cure HITH. If treatment is needed you do need to QT as many medications will affect the bacterial cycle. Now you need to keep a very close eye on your parameters as the discus will not heal if the tank has ammonia or nitrite.

The discus appears to be a blue turquoise discus. Here is a link with pics for ID.
