just bought some LR from a local reefer and noticed this when I was aquascaping... is thi the infamous aiptasia?!

No, that's not Aiptasia. Looks like a Condi anemone to me.

so they are okay in my tank? aiptasia is usually tanish?

thanks Doug! you're always coming thru!!! I was looking at pics online and it didn't look like condys at all... got a few today with part lime juice part white vinegar! looks like they shrieviled up and died... do I need to take them out or just let nature take it's course?

just watch to make sure they don't resurface. sometimes they seem more transparent than others...just google "aptasia images" and you'll see quite a few different "looks".

do I need to siphon it out or just leave them there?

leave it be after nuking it. you can siphon it out if it's becomes fluid, but i don't see this state, as i use kalkwasser to kill them.
