Golden/Brown leathery thing. I have no idea...
1) Does it like/need light?
2) Does it like/need current?
3) Do you feed it?

It will grow where there is the right amount of light and die off where the light is wrong. Many times these types of things grow in lower light areas.

2) Does it like/need current?

I wouldn;t go out of my way to change what you have.

3) Do you feed it?

Not on purpose.
