So I have found lots of what look like baby snails crawling around on the rock and glass of the tank. Unfortunately I can't post a picture until later tonight but they are tiny and crawl primarily on the glass of the tank. They are white and have colored backs for the most part. Are they baby snails or something?

it only takes a few to come in with some macro, on some LR, a coral, anywhere actually. Once they get in your system they'll start to reproduce. They're great for fish to eat on, live is always better than processed foods.
