I was doing a water change and realized that in the back of my tank theres what appears to be a barnacle growing? anyone got any insight? thats not normal right, or is it?

It can be normal, can you get a pic? There is no telling what you can bring in as hitch hikers.

i mean one of my peices of LR had a few on it but now i have one on the back i mean if its not gonna hurt anything its ok and no i cant really get a picture of it becasue its on the bottom under all my rock.

They are no harm, no. Most usually die becuase of a lack of food (phyto) but they won't harm a thing at all. I've been seeing them in increasing numbers lately bored into corals at the LFS, have yet to ever see one attached to a hard surface. A picture would be neat. :)
