brown algea? help

I have this brown algea that has showed up it came and went now it back. It was just brown on the face of the rock now there is one or two spots stringing out see pictures. All levels in tank are reading fine. I do water changes every week. Also pulled a little rock out and tried to clean of with a brush no luck won't come off.

Will be just diatoms, how old is your tank? Do you test for nitrates/phosphates?

This tank has been going for about two and a half months. I do test cant remember what it was last the numbers have been pretty normal besides a little jump in nitrate. I've done multiple water changes but hasn't helped.

It'll run it's course. Just watch your trates, make sure flow is good, and keep up with the pwc.

I agree with Kio, in time it will just disappear. part of the new tank syndrome.

Diatoms are just part of the process with a new tank. Totally normal. You’re doing it right, just give it time.
