Brownish/Whitesh mush on rocks

I cant seem to get rid of whatever this is and need help to identify what it might be.

anyone...?

i brush it off but it comes back. I did a 3 day span with no lights and it did not seem to phase it. I have chaeto in my sump if it's an algae. I have tried algaefix and chemiclean just because i had some on hand but neither seems to of affected it.

How old is your tank? What are your water peramitors?

It is 6 months old. My phosphate and nitrate both read zero.

It looks like diatoms to me. If it is they will burn them selves off.
