can someone id this starfish

Can someone tell me what kind of starfish is on the back right corner of the picture it is a little white guy and I have atleast 2 or 3 ...also where would it come from....thanks

Looks like a brittle star. They are good for the tank.

Where would it come from how big will it get?

It will stay around that size and usually comes from within your live rock. I have a bunch in my tank.

alot of the time you will only see their legs sticking out of the rocks if you look close.

They can get bigger than that. 6"+.

I believe that's a different starfish. I have dozens in my tank and they haven't grown larger than 1.5"

If its a brittle star they will not stay that size mine measures over 12 inches across its legs

Ya thats what I thought. It doesnt look like a brittle though. The head is different.

They are called dwarf or tiny serpent starfish.
