We picked up this coral a few weeks ago, and thought that what we had purchased was scolymia. The LFS told us that it was scolymia as well.

We get it home, and it is in a weird shape for a scolymia, not the typical donut shape. It also has multiple mouths. It has been eating fine and doesn't appear stressed.

Are we correct that we bought a scolymia, if not, what is it?

Trachyphyllia are like a large, multi-mouthed, folding lobes version of a scolymia. I have not seen Trachyphyllia with that texture, they are usually smooth like a scoly, but it may be a different species (or not a Trachyphyllia, possibly something closely related).
