Caught this

Hey guys caught this fish of the west Australian cost yesterday and no one knew what it was the picture isn't the best but yea any help will be good :)

Unfortunately the white background makes it a little tricky to make out the shape of the fish, but my guess is a young Scolopsis affinis (Peter's Monocle Bream). Do an image search on that species and see how it compares.

Okay, that does help. I had the right family, but the wrong species. I now think its a Western butterfish, Pentapodus vitta. Do an image search and see how it checks out (and be aware that there's a bit of colour change with growth).
