Cladiella

There is a long white worm on my cladiella coral.
What is it?
Does it harm the coral?

Thanks!

It's very hard to get because the worm is very thin (like a thin white rope) and lies tangled around the coral. I've tried pictures but it cannot be seen.

Then it means you obviously are the better one to answer the original poster's question...

Depends on what it is. What does it do when you try to catch it? Does it retract back into a hole in your rock? Do you ever see the whole worm? If it's a peanut or spaghetti worm, the bulk of the worm lives in the rock and it just sends out some feeding tentacles - so catching it would be virtually impossible.
