Cloudy Growth with clear tubes

I have several cloudy growths on the live rock in our tank, they have short clear tubes on some of them and I can not tell what they might be. Any ideas?

I uploaded a pic on one of my posts trying to figure out what organism it was. Your descriptions sounds sort of like what I described. Check if my picture looks like what you have.

It's kind of like that only the tubes are very short sticking out of a white puffy mass. I have pictures in my album on my profile. We are thinking they are sponges though, when the hermit crabs were climbing the live rocks you could see it has substance and not like a slime but it was not damaged. thanks for responding!
