Recently picked up these two coral frags and needed help identifying what they are and how to care for them.

Coral Frag #1 was a hitchhicker on a mushroom coral we purchased, but has closed up since it was introduced into our tank.

Coral Frag #2 has 3 aiptasia at its base, which we want to remove but are worried if the frag will be harmed in the process.

Looks like a kenya tree with your mushroom leather. The same with #2, just opened up.
For the aiptasia, just inject it with aiptasia-x and that'll be done with.

Thanks guys for your help. We picked up a bottle of aiptasia-x and killed the three at the base of the kenya. Found another new growt hidden under an older piece of live rock and gave it a shot of aiptasia-x as well--this one recided back into the rock.

Hope I got them all, but will keep an eye out for new spawns.

The kenya in photo #2 is doing well--doesn't seem to have been affected by the aiptasia treatment at all.

The two kenyas in photo #1 still won't open.

Not sure if there is anything that we can do to get them to open.

are they getting decent flow mine thrives with a medium flow , most corals do better with a decent flow through out . also keeps any crud from forming on corals.
