Doesn't look like a hammer coral. More like some type of leather

It does look a little like a horn coral. Go to liveaquaria.com they have a great show of some corals wilt a little bit I info about each one as well.

Pectinia. It's actually LPS if so. A hard spikey skeleton, but it's got mouths down at the bottom of those crevices.
