Crab id

Just saw a crab in my tank that I've never seen before, he was hanging out on the bottom of a rock upside down, and it looked like his claws had little nets on them. Is this one of those famous filter feeding crabs? Sorry no picture (yet.)

Probably a porceline crab. Was it white?

Pretty close to white, almost looked like it was speckled with little pink dots. I just have never seen a crab with "nets" on it's claws. 8O
