Aquarium Advice Addict
This thread is turning out like most threads on the freshwater sub forums. Normally it's, "is 30 goldfish in a 10g overstocking?" or, "I do not need to cycle because my way is better than natures way."
This forum is called aquarium advice, not aquarium arrogance. Please take into consideration that taking wild animals from the ocean (may not even be legal in some states) and containing them in a closed system without quarantine is reckless. If the (in my opinion) experts here are telling you this is a bad idea, it probably is.
On a side note. I was recently reading a story of someone else bringing a snail from the wild into his home aquarium. It was carrying an actual protozoal brain stem parasite into his home. The article said these parasites are deadly and can be avoided simply by keeping animals from the wild in the wild.
