Dangerous Worm ??

I've seen a couple of these guys recently and was wondering if they are anything to be concerned about. Sorry the pics are not great but he scuttled back under the rock before I could get a better focus.

thanks for your help ....

Look like common bristle worms, considered beneficial detrivores by most.

I was hoping that's what they were. I was a little concerned as I noticed an empty snail shell near one of the rocks where I had previously spotted one of the worms. I had read that some worms will attack and eat snails. Hopefully you're right

Bristle worms are good to have, but can get out of hand quick. They will eat some
fish alive, if they don't have enough to eat in the sand. And they bite too. 8O
