Did the snail do this? Or what is it?

This might have been there before, but im accusing the snail because he was there at the time..

They dont breed like freshwater snails, do they?

I think the fish will pick them off, also I don'tthink they stick really well to the glass and will float off too. They usually don't get a chance to hatch.
