Eunice Worm?

I just saw this thin little centipede looking worm sticking out of my lr. It was a light brown color on 1/3 of it's body and the rest of the 2/3 was dark. Any ideas? He's gone now, so no pic

Maybe a bristleworm. Did it look like this?

I leave mine in the tank. I have not seen them cause any problems. They are great janitors, IMO.
