Found this in my angler tank

Found this in my angler tank. Doesn't look like it moves I don't think. It branches out like a star fish, but maybe it's some sort of clear looking algae?

I figured it wasn't anything harmful. Sponge makes sense because it does have little dimples in it. Just caught me off guard because I've never seen anything like it. I never get any cool hitchhikers. :( lol. Thanks again Mr X!
 
Sponges are very cool. I had a tank loaded with ones similar to the ones you have, but they were bright purple.
 
Most of them are white. They may change color over time if they incorporate matter from things they eat. This is fairly common in marine inverts, though I don't know if sponges do it.
