Growth on live rock - identification help

Hey, no dumb questions right? I am pretty new to this but we just went and bought live rock and there is this growth of sorts on some of it and I couldn't identify it very well on my own. Any ideas?

Those are sponges, I have the same ones. They are generally a good sign
