Grub?

Hi guys,

Any ideas what this could be? This is the first time I've seen him hidden inside the live rock. Should I be removing it or is fish safe?Click image for larger version

Looks like a gorilla crab to me. Generally, crabs can't catch healthy fish. These guys are far from reef safe though, in my opinion, and it should also be reminded that no matter what crabs are opportunistic creatures and can go from being a well mannered citizen to a homicidal maniac while you sleep.

Great thanks! So would you recommend taking him out of the tank then? Do they help the tank in any way?

I don't like crabs, my opinion is biased on removal.

Sniperhank, i got an email saying you responded but it seems when the threads or merged your response disappeared. Do you still believe this is a gorilla crab?
