Hairy crab or starfish?

Just seen something new in my tank. Could not get a picture this time round but had hairy legs, sandy coloured, may be 6 of them. Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Definitely a crab, turned lights off and it came out. Read that they might eat turbo snails? Are they bad?
