It looks like a calcareous macro algae - Padina sp.

I don't know what it is off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure I read about it in the Fenner/Calfo book. Also if I can type this long enough the margins will be right again, LMAO.
 
ya I have one on a rock, my wife actually spotted it.I though it might have just been a chip of the rock coming off with some algae stuck to it.Mine is covered in coralline.Let me know if you find anything out man
 
that is it reeflady thank you! goodie another algae in the tank that is my luck at least this one is pretty and not green :mrgreen:
