I got this from a friend who took down his tank. Said it was a Goby. I'm talking about the snake like creature.

Also called a convict blenny, but actually neither a goby or a blenny. This species (Pholidichthys leucotaenia) and another species from north-western Australia (P. anguis) are the only members of the family Pholidichthyidae. They are weird fish, and there have been many attempts at trying to identify their nearest relatives. The most recent studies have suggested they are related to either wrasses or cichlids.
