Help with two things

Can anyone tell me what the cone shaped critter is in the one picture and is all of the white stuff a sponge in the other picture. I have scraped it away once and it came back. It eventually over grows the polyps and kills them off. Thanks for any help.

The 2nd pic looks like a stomatella snail.

I am not sure that is what it is. Unfortunately it only comes out in the dark so hard to get a better pic. Stays in the same area. I have a tonne of stomatellas and they look different. This one is a perfect cone shape if I could only get a side pic for you to see. Are there different types of stomatellas? I have lots of different color ones but all are the same body.

Looked at some pics online and limpet seems correct. Now the question is should I leave it or remove it. I have no sps right now but might add in the future and info seems mixed online about whether to keep them or not.
