I found a crab in my aquarium

So as the title says, i found a crab in my aquarium. im not sure if it is good or bad. D: I hope it is ok and i don't have to get rid of it. he is a cool little guy.

Looks like a little emerald crab

Would it harm my coral? or can u just throw him back into my aquarium?

There's no way to tell for sure. It may as it grows. It might not bother anything. The general consensus is that they are destructive pests.

I don't know about an Xanthid crab but I bought a mushroom the other day and I caught my emerald crab and peppermint shrimp eating it. I feed my inverts crab cuisine sinking pellets once in a while. They go crazy for that stuff.

OK so rather than throwing him away. I put him in this

Awesome. Try and feed him something meaty. I don't kill crabs either. I do have a large sump i can put them in though.

Yeah I don't have a sump to put him in. I did think I needed it because I have a small tank.
I emptied a aquaclear filter and threw some cheato in it.
