I have an established mixed reef tank, and have noticed the development of these white, roundish spots primarily on the back glass. They don't seem to move, and are hard, not sponge-like. I have a Monti cap that has grown onto the back glass and above this there seem to be more than average( pic one).
Is it possible that these are brittle star babies? There are hundreds of these through-out the rock and refugium, and in that specific Red cap( under shelves). I don't know how stars reproduce, just a thought.
The other pic is behind a wall Hammer on back glass.
Any help will be appreciated and thanks!

I think I will cut one off and see what's inside. Could it be Ca deposits?

I have the same things on my tank and live rock, caught my snail depositing them.

Yeah, they look the same. Snails huh? Do they deposit a type of egg to reproduce? They do seem to be a type of egg or coccoon though, they last awhile then break open. Makes sense, thanks!
