zoas and polyps are one in the same. most every coral has polyps.

zoas palys and protopalys are what look similar. these seem to be zoas

Ok thank you you think paying 40$ for the whole rock was worth it ?

was it worth it to you? if you think the piece is worth 40 bucks than good deal!

I dont like large colonies, id rather a bunch of frags but thats just me. Lets see pics when they open

Seemed like one to me cause everywhere I seen it was only like 4 polyps on frag for 20$

a coral dip such as coral rx, melafix, etc... is necessary. It rids (or almost completly rids) the coral of pests such as zoa eating nudis, flatworms, etc. its a preventative action

I need to do that next time thanks !

$40. for a colony that large isn't bad at all
I buy a a bunch of of large colony's but I also frag them up and sell/trade them for other zoa's
if I like a certain colony I will find a nice home in my tank for them
it all depends on how your tank is laid out
yes you got a nice deal

Fire and ice zoas :D
