Red slime?

Red slime? If This helps, it's pink and it's growing lighter toward the ends. Seems like finger sponge. I don't think it's finger sponge though.

Mr. X is probably right about the coralline, but the dark red stuff on the rocks looks like red slime (a type of bacteria).

I have coralline that is that dark red, and it looks like what's on the picture.

Im Strictly Speaking Of The Pink Stuff. The Darker Red Was There When I Bought The Live Rock.

If you can't scratch it off easily, it's also coralline algae. It comes in many colors.
