Is this coral?

I hope the picture posts. I rescently bought some more live rock and among the small pieces I found this. Looked like dead coral or something but after a little while in my tank the pinky color leafy looking thing appeared. I'd like to know if this is coral and if so what needs does it have. I have no known coral in my tank just live rock and fish with a ton of those pesty anemones.

Looks like an upset favia. When it comes to brain corals, favites share a 'wall' while favia have their own individual walls.
