kelp looking stuff good or bad?

we have this stuff growing from our live rock that looks like kelp. it is pretty small, but is now a forrest on one rock and scattered on others. what is this stuff? and is it good or bad? i think it looks kinda ugly and would only keep it if it is beneficial. any ideas?

Could be a type of sargassum. Does it look similar to >>this<<?

kinda but not really the shape of the blades look similar, but it is brown, doesnt have little ball things, and doesnt have a long stem. it just looks like blades growing out of the rock. they are still pretty small though, so i guess they could grow int something like that. i dunno
