Is this a keyhole limpet? I've read they are OK to have in a reef tank but this thing seems to be devouring my purple coraline algae. Is it this thing or something else? The rock it is mostly always on has no coraline really, very bare rock...

Are they good for anything else or should I get rid of it??

dangg... that's a lot of bristle worm....:)

Not if you mean the brittle star!! Those are just his legs you can see... So, I did some more searching and it is for sure a limpet (of some kind) so without knowing what they might be good for, its outta their. I'd rather keep my coraline than that thing...

It is a limpit and I have dozens of them. They don't bother coralline but are great algae grazers. They say they may eat some soft coral tissue but, I've never had a problem with mine.

i have a few of those too, i rarely see mine though, but nothing in my tank appears nibbled on. :D

opsss.. sorry... am still new to this.. :)
