Look like anenomes, but aren't?

Hi,

What are these things? They started out as pin-pricks when I got my live rock and are now the size of a rectangular pencil eraser.

Those are green button polyps. No harm. Actually, they are a good begginners coral-provide mod light, mod flow.

are button polyps ussually that tranclusent ? mine are very dark and not at all see thru

Yes, Ive found when they are regrowing as described they'll look like that.

I agree, some type of zoanthid. Free coral is good coral.

They look like green button polyps to me.I have some that started out on a piece of rock that I got from a LFS a year ago and they were about the same as the pictures that you show of them.They have now turned darker.
